I have been a developer since 2012 and have always built and experimented with my own side projects. This lead to one of my projects while I was working with a company providing government software being pursued on a more full time basis. I left my job at the time, got rid of all of my commitments and moved into a shed in 2015 to build a business.
Over the next year, I would learn how to develop, test and iterate products and manage development cycles. The project I was working on, Fuse:Ignite went through several different iterations during this time but this technology was not to be fully released due to a lack of market demand and funding.
With my experience running a business and a technology team, I moved into Organised Health Technologies in a dual product and technology role, building the platform and getting the product to launch. In my year in the company I have been able to launch two successful test cycles and launched the product into the iOS app store.
During this time I have been fortunate enough to mentor and advise several startups in the community due to my role as Chapter Director for Startup Grind Glasgow. It has been great to help so many people in the community do well and succeed.
I love building new things and experimenting with new technology to make things better. I am always looking to surround myself with high performance people to allow myself to grow and learn. I am looking for that new challenge and would love to hear what you are working on. I want to help so anything I can do, please let me know.
If you would like to set up a meeting with me, check out my Calendly or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can't wait to hear from you!
Fuse:Ignite was a mobile app which was a networking solution for local-networking events and conferences.
This project looked to change the way that people connect at physical networking events by allowing them to find and connect to the most relevant people to them at events. It did this by collating user data on profiles and analysing them in real time due to proximity and mutual benefit.
Fuse:Ignite went through several different iterations before becoming the final solution providing empowerment to both exhibitors and attendees at events allowing them to target the most relevant people in their space.
Phlo is a full-stack digital Pharmacy startup for which I am CTO and Head of Product. I took the company from no product in January 2017 to a test phase in June where we serviced a small test user group in Scotland to building a small MVP mobile application for internal testing in September 2017 to full mobile app and platform launch in March 2018.
We went through a few iterations of the platform due to legistlative feasibility and were able to identify our beachhead market in London. The technical challenges for this project have consisted of three things: Legistative, Operational, Logistical. Each of these have had to have careful consideration in the platform build.
Music Broth aims to establish a catalogue of music instruments and musical equipment within the community that people that can access for any musical venture.
My role there is a technical member of the board of trustees and in the early stages, I am working closely with the team to build and set up our technology stack alongside advising the founder when required and taking part in quarterly board meetings.
